Manufacturing Janitor

Gensco, a regional leader in sheet metal manufacturing, is looking for a self-motivated, trainable up and coming Manufacturing Janitor to join our Swing Shift Team in Tacoma, WA! 

**Training Schedule** -during 2 month training period will be working on day shift from 6:30am-2:30pm, then transition to swing shift after training

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas of Manufacturing Department are neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe
• Perform janitorial/housekeeping duties
• Box finished goods including bundling pipe
• Complete other tasks assigned by Managers 

Education/Experience/Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of mechanical experience with electrical experience preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience required to include working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Some experience and ability in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and maintenance techniques
• Must have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and concepts
• Be able to work with each department to provide support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved with a reliability mindset
• Regularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
• Able to work at heights up to 30 feet
• Able to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a day
• Ability to work overtime as needed
