About the role

Role Overview

WSP is seeking a Construction Manager / Senior QA Inspector to support a 15 week project in eastern Arizona.

This an onsite Construction Manager / Senior QA Inspector temporary position. Will work as an Owners’ Representative supporting the implementation of underground utility installation.

Your Impact

  • Daily onsite oversight of the construction contractor(s) and coordination with Operations
  • Proactive management of safety/quality/change/risk
  • Leading progress meetings with project stakeholders
  • Verifying contractor cost/schedule/progress
  • Tracking and closure of RFIs/submittals
  • Preparation of various reports, verification of contractor testing and project closeout and as-built documentation

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant construction management/quality assurance experience.
  • Experience supervising construction contractors and/or subcontractors with responsibility for monitoring the day-to-day field operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals are achieved.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive experience with construction plans and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety
  • Liaison experience between contractors, designers, owners, and end-users.
  • Must pass background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
  • Able to walk distances on uneven sites, climb small ladders, and work in an active construction environment
