Purpose
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Chief Business Officer will serve as a key member of the University Development Office (UDO) leadership team, and is responsible for providing strategic counsel, financial leadership and direction to drive UDO’s financial planning and growth objectives. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring fiscal integrity across all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the finance team by fostering a culture of collaboration, service-orientation, high standards and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the University’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Procurement and Payment Services (PPS), Business Contracts offices (BCO) and other administrative offices.
- Acts as chief financial officer and serves as UDO’s representative on the Council of University Business Officers (CUBO).
