The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Office of the CIO, to drive governance, execution, and operational excellence within the IT organization. Reporting to the CIO/VP of IT Digital in Diabetes, this individual will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and processes, managing our program managers, and driving the readiness and execution of the Management Operating Review (MOR) process. This role will serve as a key advisor to the CIO and IT leadership team, ensuring the effective execution of strategic initiatives and alignment with business objectives.

This role can be located in Northridge (LA Metro-area), Minneapolis or Duluth (Atlanta Metro-area).

Key Responsibilities

PMO Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a scalable PMO framework that supports the company’s strategic objectives.

  • Establish project management methodologies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and high-quality delivery.

  • Oversee a team of program managers, providing strategic guidance and operational support.

  • Monitor and report on the status of major IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

Management Operating Review (MOR) Readiness and Enablement:

  • Lead the preparation and execution of the CIO’s Management Operating Review.

  • Develop and manage a structured approach for tracking and reporting IT performance metrics.

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and relevance to support executive decision-making.

  • Partner with finance, strategy, and business leaders to align MOR content with broader business objectives.

Governance and Risk Management:

  • Establish and maintain governance to support project and portfolio decision-making.

  • Ensure risks and issues related to IT projects are effectively identified, managed, and communicated.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive alignment and resolve conflicts.

Strategic Planning and Alignment:

  • Work closely with the CIO and IT leadership team to define and execute the IT strategy.

  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans that align across the IT organization.

  • Dashboarding and reporting to provide visibility into strategic execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in IT program/project management, governance, or strategic planning roles.

  • Strong experience in leading PMO functions and managing senior project/program managers.
