Job Description

Note: While primarily remote, this position requires visits to our Richmond, VA office every other week.

Overview: 

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services on the Richmond Capital Region (RCR) project in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion (or successful transition), for the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services.

• Coordinate and lead departmental or cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication to achieve project goals.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Track and evaluate project performance against established metrics, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.

• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed defined quality standards.

• Participate in regular project review and status meetings, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels.

• Utilize Six Sigma and other project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to optimize project effectiveness and efficiency.

• Motivate and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

• Assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification and Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).

Target Base Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $217,600.00 USD
