Software Development Engineer, Trust Platform

About the Role:

Remitly's Trust Platform team empowers all business divisions within Remitly to establish trust with their customers and manage risks at scale. The team creates an integrated ecosystem that supports compliance, fraud detection and review processes across multiple products. Utilizing modern technologies, we develop data-driven solutions to move Remitly's business forward. We are a group of engineers who are committed to serving immigrants by creating great technology solutions for customer trust. You will report to our Engineering Manager, Trust Platform.

You Will:

• Gather and analyze requirements. Design, code, and test APIs, data storage solutions, and integration with third-party services. Identify and fix issues or bugs. Work with the team to quickly resolve problems and maintain system stability. 
• Participate in team meetings, discussing progress, challeges, and potential solutions with other team members and partners. 
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, program managers, and operation teams.
• Receive mentorship from more senior engineers.

You Have:

• 1 or more years of experience with at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Python, C# or Ruby, and familiarity with related frameworks and libraries.
• Understanding of basic web development concepts, such as RESTful APIs, HTTP protocol, and database management. 
• Knowledge of software development principles, including version control, testing, and debugging.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $97,800-$124,420. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
