About the role

Description

The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine as a full-time, patient focused clinician in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team based.  (No inpatient requirements). Candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching mission, research projects and collaborate on innovative evidence based patient care programs. This position would support initiatives in population health including but not limited to resident precepting, Occupational Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: MD or equivalent and license to practice medicine in NYS. DEA certification or eligibility. Board Certification or eligibility in General Preventive Medicine or recent completion of an ACGME approved General Preventive Medicine/Public Health residency training program.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Board certification in Lifestyle Medicine. Experience with community health programs and recent experience in an Occupational Medicine clinical setting. Interest in teaching residents and medical students.
