With us, you’ll shape a career that is truly forward-facing with many amazing opportunities and offerings to match. </p><p>But there’s more work to be done – that’s why we invite you to join us. </p><p><strong>Working in The Global Environmental Markets team</strong></p><p>The vacancy is in the Global Environmental Markets (GEM) team, which is responsible for sourcing, balancing and selling environmental commodities linked to Statkraft’s own assets as well as the assets of our customers around the globe. The team is located in Amsterdam and London.</p><p><em>Graduate trainee – Trade Support, Global Environmental Markets</em> role is a key entry level role enabling strong candidates to get a foothold in the energy trading environment with focus on environmental products. It will help develop your understanding of the entire deal life cycle from valuation to inception to delivery. Well performing candidates will be evaluated for a permanent position within the team.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Your role will include:</p><ul><li>Supporting management of different environmental product portfolios (inventory management, delivery planning, position reporting, communicating with traders on portfolio balancing)</li><li>Managing registration of commercial contracts using the in-house deal management system (deal booking, portfolio reconciliation)</li><li>Assisting with the logistical settlement of our contracts (transfers of certificates)</li><li>Working closely with environmental product specialists and support units on daily operational tasks and procedures</li><li>Support automation efforts of the daily operational tasks and procedures – appropriate training will be provided if necessary.</li><li>Performing ad-hoc analyses of commercial business cases</li><li>You will complete five projects with different sub-teams within GEM. The projects will be agreed based on the existing business need and will give you exposure to different traded products (e.g., EUAs, VERs, PPAs).</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Good knowledge of statistics, econometrics and/or financial mathematics</li><li>Results oriented and demonstrably commercial mindset</li><li>Keen eye for detail whilst not losing track of the big picture</li><li>Capable of prioritising tasks and meeting critical deadlines</li><li>Key driver of operational excellence and administrative efficiency </li><li>Excellent analytical skills and accurate judgment</li><li>Articulate, good relationship management skills, and resilient</li><li>Good team player with a high level of personal integrity</li><li>Experience in programming language (eg.
