Department Overview
The Risk Management and Cyber Security Department is responsible for risk and regulatory initiatives, nuclear risk management, enterprise compliance, and cyber security at Diablo Canyon. Our department focuses on team work through relationship building and collaboration, and supporting our department goal of being an industry leading risk management and cyber security department through driving innovative processes, continuous improvement, and industry and academic initiatives.
Position Summary
The primary function of the Cybersecurity Risk Consultant is supporting the implementation of cyber security functions to maintain the DCPP cyber security program, and identifying projects and measures to mitigate cyber-attack risks. Responsible for understanding business requirements, issues resolution, and sustained customer satisfaction for each line of business in support of cyber-attack risk reduction.
To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $86,000
California Maximum: $129,000
Job Responsibilities
- Supports cyber security risk assessments in accordance with plant procedures and the Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT)
- Works to support various technical tools that are used within the DCPP cyber program
- Collaborates with team or peers to work on issues, projects or activities
- Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment
- Develop, manage, and participate in cyber security drills and exercises
- Assists with the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
- Oversees the a detailed living risk portfolio describing the overall aggregate risk posture of each business unit with supporting details for supported IT systems and applications.
- Assists in designing control risk mitigation plans and support business implementation.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in computer science, business administration or other relevant field
- Job-related technical experience, 2 years
Desired:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Utility industry experience
- Experience working with regulatory guidance NEI 08-09, 13-10, and 10-04
- Previous experience in nuclear cyber security
- Job-related technical experience, 3 years
- CISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification
- CISA-Certified Information Systems Auditor certification
