Primary Purpose: Weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes. General Description: Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production of a variety of garbage truck models. Essential Duties

• Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production. 
• Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous,  and consistent.        
• Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in assembly process.
• Weld vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration.                                           
• Maintain/produce a level of output that will minimize production delays.               

Other Duties

• Operate the equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department. 
•  Good communication.
•  Math skills including fractions and angles.
• Read tape measure and angle finder.
• Read blue-prints and cut lists.
• Operate plasma cutter and acetylene torches.
• Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
• Assist other individuals in areas when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.                                                                    

Experience: 1 year preferred in welding or fabrication.
