Quality Engineer Intern

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of quality engineering within the medical device lifecycle. Quality Engineers play a critical role in ensuring product excellence, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement. As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will contribute to optimizing processes, eliminating waste, and driving actions that benefit the business and its customers. This role will also allow you to build foundational skills in predictive engineering, learn six sigma, root cause analysis, issue investigation, and process control. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under the guidance of Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers, the Quality Engineer Intern will: 

• Support CAPA & SCAR Processes 

• Process Qualification & Validation 

• Equipment Selection & Qualification 

• Calibration 

• Incoming Inspection 

• Process Control & Yield/Trend Monitoring 

• Return Material Authorization (RMA) 

• Failure Analysis 

• Servicing & Refurbishment 

• Non-Conforming Material Processing 

• Design Assurance/Design Verification Testing 

• Any additional duties provided by manager as needed 

Requirements

• Enrollment in an electrical engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent engineering degree program (bachelor’s or master’s).  

• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above. 

• High attention to detail, organization, time management, and accuracy. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.   

• Strong ability to communicate (written and verbally).  

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
