Salary range: $55,432 - $88,712
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am to 4:30pm
The Internal Business Advisor implements key business and financial services for the college, current and prospective students, and MHS Finance through business office operations. This role will provide strategic business guidance to support the college's academic programs, scholarships and federal grants, and administrative functions. The advisor is crucial for ensuring the financial sustainability of the college by offering financial analysis, business planning, and risk management. This role will work closely with the College Administration, academic program and department leaders, and other health system stakeholders to optimize the College’s business performance, enhance budgetary controls, and support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Student Account Management and Customer Service: 25%
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student, customer, and housing accounts maintained by the Business Office.
Provide exceptional customer service by handling payments, updating account information, and resolving inquiries.
Monitor past due accounts, negotiate payment plans, and counsel students on managing their account balances effectively.
Data Entry, Reporting, and Business Analysis: 30%
Perform ongoing data entry with precision, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded promptly.
Conduct business analysis to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and recommend enhancements to college business processes and internal controls.
Scholarship and Grant Program Oversight: 15%
Develop and oversee scholarship program model, ensuring alignment with the college's objectives.
Support federal grant directors with budget tracking, monitoring, and responding to year-end audit inquiries.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelines for scholarship and grant funds, maintaining detailed records and reporting.
Academic Program Business Modeling and Advising: 15%
Prepare tuition, enrollment, and workload models for academic programs, and provide ongoing advising to academic deans and administration on financial impacts.
Collaborate with academic leadership to align business models with the college’s strategic goals
