Job Title: Gate Guard Supervisor (Level II)

Region/Area: Laredo, Tx

Pay: $14.00/hour, paid weekly

Status: Full Time

Shift: Monday- Friday 10:00am -6:00pm

Ideal candidate must be flexible to cover any shifts as need

Position Summary:

First Responder Protective Services is looking for a Gate Guard Supervisor to delegate, train and manage unarmed security guards. Current hiring for full-time Gate Guard Supervisor position to work at our contracted site in the Laredo area.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to delegate, train and cover any shifts needed according to demand.
• Ensure shift coverage when call-outs occur
• Ensure security guard maintain security licenses, uniforms, and equipment
• Ensure guards follow dress code and company policy.
• Check trucks in and out of yard efficiently, and perform perimeter checks.
• During peak daytime hours, working with another guard.
• Write detailed and accurate daily reports of incidents or irregularities for submission to the customer.
• Protect property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference.
• Enforce property rules and regulations designed to prevent breaches of security.
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start to avoid any clock in complications (not expected to work until shift starts).

Work Environment:

Current project includes a truck yard with AC controlled guard shack.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable cell phone and transportation.
• Must have valid TX Driver's License and favorable driving history.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions from management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to respect sensitive and confidential information that may be learned on post.
• Must not be seen on camera or by client playing, texting, or talking on their cell phone.
• Must be able to stay awake and alert for entire duration of shift.

• 1.5x overtime after 40 hours in a pay period
• W2 position (OT starts after 40 hours in same work week & taxes taken out) Weekly direct deposit payment
• Opportunity for advancement (Level 3-Armed Security Training).
• First year of employment: Employees accrue up to 7 days (56 hours) of PTO. Second year of employment: Accrual increases to 10 days (80hours). Fifth year of employment and beyond: Accrual maxes out at 15 days (120 hours).
