The Director, Product Management Leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.As we continue our journey to implement a Product Operating Model, we need to stand up a coaching team to help leaders and teams adopt a product mindset across TechStrat. The leader of this coaching team needs Product transformation experience, technical experience and executive presence to drive a compelling vision for TechStrat.
We currently have a consultant team guiding us to stand up the Cloud product including the strategy, role expectations, processes and governance. Once complete, the consultant will leave us with an established product, guidance how to activate and a customized roadmap to replicate this across TS products. Humana will need a coaching team to take over and drive adoption at that time.
This leader will lead a team of 3-4 product manager coaches as well as a 5 member team of Agile coaches.
The Director, IT Product Management works with relevant Humana stakeholders to create, prioritize, and manage product iteration backlogs. Ensures final products meet IT and Humana standards and deliver maximum value to end-users. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.
Position Responsibilities
•Creates a compelling vision for TechStrat’s Product Operating Model
•Defines the outcomes and goals for a Product Operating Model
•Aligns the Product Operating Model to TechStrat outcomes and strategy
•Develops a multi-year strategy and roadmap to achieve and mature TechStrat’s Product Operating Model
•Collaborates/advises/coaches/mentors/influences VPs, AVPs, Directors and Associate Directors in developing a Product Mindset as part of the Product Operating Model
•Establishes processes, standards, best practices and a governance framework for Product Management
•Effectively leads Organizational Change Management to activate the Product Mindset across TechStrat
•Leads a team of Product and Agile coaches
•Ensures federated resources in Product and Agile roles across TechStrat are effectively coached and mentored
•Measures performance and maturity of the TechStrat organization towards a Product Operating Model

Required Qualifications
- •Highly skilled with broad technical experience
- •Experience leading product teams and product transformations
- •Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking
- •Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional organizational communication skills
- •Executive presence and the ability to influence senior technology leaders
- •Advanced Product subject matter expertise and competent to work at very high levels
- •Advanced education, knowledge, or understanding of Product Management
- •Familiar with Agile principles and practices
- •Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or equivalent, 8+ years of technical and 5+ years of management experience

- Master’s Degree
