About the role

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform complex welding operations (MIG) on a variety of materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure welds meet quality and code standards.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work under the direction of the supervisor to move Wind Towers, Set up MIG Welders.
  • Follow and complete daily build schedule.
  • Weld, grind and repair each Wind Tower section prior to presenting to Quality Inspectors.
  • Clamp, grind, tack-weld, or bolt components into position before welding.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in multiple welding techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Physically demanding industrial setting involving exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.
  • Frequent use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.
  • Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods; occasional work in confined spaces or elevated platforms.
