Description

The Opportunity   We're seeking a visionary Senior Product Designer to establish and lead our design function from the ground up. This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience across all our products, ensuring that design is at the forefront of our product development process. You will be instrumental in defining our design vision, processes, and culture.  You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and clients to deeply understand user needs and translate them into clear, thoughtful, and effective product experiences. This role requires a balance of hands-on design work, strategic thinking, and strong leadership and communication skills.   The Company  We are a small team with a big vision: to be the premier provider of cloud technology solutions for retailers. As a Senior Product Designer, you excel at the following core competencies 
  • Design Leadership – Ability to define and champion a strategic design vision across products, driving consistency, usability, and innovation. 
  • User-Centered Approach – Deep expertise in conducting user research, developing personas, and applying insights to inform thoughtful design decisions. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Strong communicator and partner to Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and external stakeholders. 
  • Visual and Interaction Design Excellence – Skilled in creating polished, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces, from wireframes to high-fidelity designs and prototypes. 
  • UX Writing & Communication – Clear, user-focused writing that enhances product usability and conveys product voice. 
  • Prototyping and Testing – Comfort with rapid prototyping and iterative usability testing to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Autonomy and Initiative – Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and establish best practices from scratch. 
  • Execution and Accountability – Demonstrates ownership from problem discovery through delivery, ensuring quality and usability at every step. 


The impact you'll make

  • Own the end-to-end design process: user research, persona development, journey mapping, interaction design, UI design, prototyping, UX writing, and usability testing. 
  • Define and evangelize the design vision for our product suite, developing best practices and scalable systems to support consistency and excellence. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, customer success, clients, and end users to ensure the design process is deeply integrated into product development. 
  • Establish and maintain a design system that ensures consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across our products. 
  • Be a design advocate across the organization, helping educate and align stakeholders on the value of human-centered design. 
  • Participate in problem discovery and help define product opportunities through research, testing, and data analysis. 
  • Contribute to product strategy, bringing user insights into planning conversations and roadmap prioritization. 
  • Mentor future design hires and contribute to building a world-class product design team as the function scales. 

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong user-centered thinking and end-to-end design execution. 
  • Experience designing B2B enterprise SaaS applications. 
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision).
