Position Summary:
As an intern at Datacolor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive desk research to develop a database focused on distribution, retail, e-tail, e-commerce, and social commerce within the photo, video, and creative industries. This will involve gathering data on competitive vendors and market contributors in regions such as (ASP) Asia South Pacific & (EMA) Europe, Middle East, and Africa, with potential expansion to other markets as determined by (NSA) North, South America. Additionally, you will compile contacts and communication access points relevant to the industry. Your work will help us: Identify opportunities to optimize existing business channels and develop new ones. Inform business development strategies and frame realistic expectations. Provide insights for future product developments and potential acquisitions.
The position is HYBRID- based in Lawrenceville. Required in office days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
Essential Duties:

- Digital savvy, with a strong interest in market research and database development.
- Basic proficiency in database management.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work with structured data.
- Demonstrated stamina and commitment to seeing projects through to completion.
- Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
As a Market Research and Database Development Intern, you'll be tasked with:
- Conducting desk research to develop a comprehensive database focusing on distribution, retail, e-tail, e-commerce, and social commerce within the photo, video, and creative industries.
- Scoping the regional landscape, with emphasis on ASP & EMA markets (most fragmented) and determining the scope of NSA markets.
- Compiling data from competitive vendors and market contributors to create a database.
- Establishing lists of relevant brands, product categories, SKUs, channels, and regions to derive insights on business potential, regional coverage, competitive landscape, pricing positioning, and target customer segments for relevant sales channels.
Qualifications:
- You are currently acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing or Market Research, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence Management.
- Experience with digital research methods and market analysis.
- Basic understanding of database management principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages may be beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Prior internship or work experience in a relevant field would be a plus.
- Market Research and Database development exposure
- Exposure to CRM databases preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with SharePoint preferred but not required.
