SALT Dental Collective is embarking on a strategic initiative to standardize our Practice Management System (PMS) platforms across all our dental practices.  Our target platforms are Planet DDS’ Denticon Practice Management and Cloud 9 Practice Management (for Orthodontist practices) platforms.

As a PMS platform trainer your primary responsibility is to delivery effective training programs that help to ensure an optimal onboarding experience for our practices. You will go through a “trainer bootcamp” process and become certified to instruct others on Planet DDS Denticon Practice Management and/or Cloud 9 Practice Management (for Orthodontist practices) platforms. Your industry and product expertise will play a crucial role in establishing positive relationships with customers, driving adoption, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

This role will perform on-site training at our practice locations across the US.  The role will require significant travel (up to 75%).  Travel requirements could be reduced after the initial rollout of our practices.  Initial rollout is expected to be 6-8 months.

Salary: $50k-$70k

Requirements

Training Development and Delivery:

  • Be highly proficient in Planet DDS (PDDS) product suite and its effective use in dental practices.
  • Learn the operational workflows that practice plans to implement with the product.
  • Align with both PDDS and practice designated points of contact to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Understand product best practices and leverage these practices and your dental operations understanding to prescribe how our customers set up our products and use them.
  • Participate in product preparation and readiness for use in the practice’s operations.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive group training sessions to our practices through various channels, such as onsite and virtual sessions, as well as workshops/webinars.
  • Be prompt and prepared for all scheduled training sessions.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Evaluate practice progress and performance during the onboarding period to identify areas of improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of practice training activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Create/augment training materials/collateral to support training program.
  • Coordinate all activity with SALT PMS Migration project team.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with product enhancements and industry trends to ensure training materials are current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the onboarding training program and make necessary adjustments.
  • Track lessons learned to improve future customer training experiences and provide all feedback to the SALT Learning and Development Team.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in dental practice operations, preferably in a management capacity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional training experiences.
  • Willingness to participate in and pass the PDDS’s Trainer Certification program (and to maintain certification over time).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with practices and SALT team members.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate different customer learning styles and preferences.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to dental practices to work with the practice team over multiple days.
