POSITION SUMMARY:
This position manages the field execution for the Construction and Maintenance Team, with focus on DOT Regulated ILI Dig and Repairs, Pipeline Maintenance, and field construction for Western NG & NGL Assets
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides input to project leadership during gated Frontend Loading (Appraise, Select and Define stages) as projects are initiated, concepts selected, and frontend definitions developed. Reviews proposed designs and advise on constructability issues with adverse impact.
Experience in Pipeline Integrity assessment projects as well as DOT Regulated Repair and Mitigation programs, OQ verifications, Project Documentation and NDE field assessment experience.
Works with project engineers, operations, safety, environmental and planners to specify contents of field execution packages and produce resource loaded project schedules. Performs onsite field assessments to validate requirements.
Works with Procurement to identify and obtain resources (equipment, materials and contractors). Supports material receiving through inspection.
Leads and coordinates staffing resources during the FEL and Project Execution stage. Implements construction and installation of facilities and equipment in accordance with approved detailed design. Monitors and controls project performance to ensure established quality, cost and time targets achieved in safe and environmentally sound manner. Monitor’s adherence to engineering standards.
Collaborates with project controls (scheduling, estimating, cost management, schedule management, reporting etc.) so that project resources are optimized. Conducts productivity analysis to identify and resolve critical variances so that project can achieve established objectives. Communicates critical events that will affect project or construction schedules or estimates so that conflict resolution is possible without delay.
Ensures accurate and current project documentation necessary to complete final project documentation. As needed provides input to startup manuals, operating and emergency response procedures, training materials, etc.
Ensures that all testing and documentation required by the specifications, contracts and all local, State and Federal agencies are completed properly and filed as permanent records.
Ensures accurate as-built information is obtained on all project work and submitted to the appropriate designer(s) to allow updating the drawings and records.
Prepares construction inspection estimates and staffing plans for projects.
Collaborates with the PMs in the review of contractor bids/proposals and makes a value-based selection involving quality, cost, and ability to complete work in a timely manner.
Ensures all construction work is performed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with MPLX Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedure.

REQUIREMENTS: ·
Minimum high school or GED required. Technical or Bachelor’s preferred
Valid Driver's License Required.
Experience in refining or petrochemical industries, with project experience required.
Minimum 10 years’ experience as construction supervisor, foreman or planner in pipeline and gas compression preferred.
Minimum of 10 years DOT Regulated and Pipeline Construction and Maintenance project activities or Oil and Gas Industry equivalent required
