Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Network Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. This position is part of a team that provides on-site M&S support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).

Essential Job Responsibilities

Candidate will be part of a larger team that addresses overarching systems administration, networking, Information Technology support for a robust integration effort supporting the integration of multiple complex JSE based VTTC simulators and advanced JSE Battlespace enclaves with various security levels up to TS and beyond.

• Designs and plans network systems.
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conducts testing of network systems.
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
