Job Overview
As the Social Media Manager, you will own the daily execution, consistency, and optimization of Mike Sherrard’s and the brand’s social media presence — with a strong focus on managing Mike’s YouTube channel. You’ll handle the content calendar, schedule and publish across platforms, track analytics, and ensure everything is polished, consistent, and on-brand.

This role blends organization, execution, YouTube SEO, analytics, collaboration, and proactive communication. You’ll work closely with Mike, the Project Manager, and the creative team to ensure content is delivered on time, optimized for growth, and fully quality-checked before it goes live.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all social media accounts (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).

  • Create, manage, and provide content calendars to Mike for approval before publishing.

  • Schedule, format, and publish approved content consistently.

  • Manage Mike’s YouTube channel: upload, optimize, and organize videos (titles, tags, thumbnails, descriptions, playlists, end screens).

  • Apply YouTube SEO and algorithm best practices to maximize growth.

  • Perform quality checks on all assets (captions, visuals, links, branding) before posting.

  • Share insights and ideas with Mike about new trends, content opportunities, and improvements.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and the creative team to ensure assets are delivered on time.

  • Track and share weekly analytics (with detailed YouTube focus) to the Director of Marketing & Creative.

  • Monitor engagement, comments, and DMs — respond or delegate as needed.

  • Manage high-volume publishing — up to 100+ pieces of content per month (short-form, long-form, graphics, carousels, and more).

Day-to-Day Execution
  • Upload and optimize YouTube videos for SEO.
  • Publish daily/weekly content from the calendar across all platforms.
  • Write and format captions with correct tags, links, and CTAs.
  • Perform final quality checks on every post before publishing.
  • Keep Mike updated on platform trends and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure the content calendar is created, submitted for approval, and followed.
  • Coordinate with PM and creative team to secure required assets.
  • Track performance analytics and log key takeaways weekly.
  • Oversee the flow of a high content volume (100+ pieces per month) with accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience managing social media accounts for brands or public figures.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, analytics, and algorithm optimization.
  • Proficiency with scheduling/analytics tools (Later, Metricool, Hootsuite, TubeBuddy, vidIQ, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle high content volume.
  • Attention to detail and a habit of double-checking everything before publishing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with leadership and creative teams.
  • Proactive in spotting trends, sharing ideas, and suggesting improvements.
  • Training will be provided, but strong YouTube knowledge is required.
Results & Success Metrics
  • Approved content calendars executed consistently with no missed deadlines.
