Description
Job Summary: In summary, the Chief of Staff is responsible for providing strategic support to the COO, driving organizational goals through efficient processes, data-driven decision-making, and effective collaboration across departments. Success in this role is measured by the achievement of specific objectives and key performance indicators outlined above.
Direct Support to the COO: Formulate, spearhead, and execute strategies that align with the company goals; directly enhancing the overall efficiency, operational framework, fiscal health, and social impact of the company.
Strategic Planning: Lead the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
Data Analysis and Insights: Lead the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data related to early childhood education trends and program effectiveness.
Financial Management: Lead grant writing efforts, including the coordination of several activities such as planning, data and resource collection, writing and packaging a proposal, submitting to funder, follow-up, and supporting the COO’s efforts to build the relationship with the would-be funder.
Market Research: Stay informed about policy changes and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and provide COO with executive summaries, presentations, solutions, recommendations, etc.
Program Evaluation: Collaborate with executives and department directors to establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs)/ “ROCKS” through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) for program evaluation.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with external partners and experts in the early childhood education field to leverage resources and expertise.
Reports and Presentations: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the COO, summarizing insights, recommendations, and progress against company initiatives, projects, strategic goals.
Resource Optimization: Design, implement, and manage initiatives to utilize resources and opportunities to reduce costs and increase or maintain quality.
Requirements
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, Business Administration, or a related field, MBA preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership/management role. Early Childhood Education field preferred.
Physical Requirements
Functions include, but are not limited to, the ability to talk and communicate sufficiently to exchange accurate information, move about the office and out of office to various indoor and outdoor locations, and remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10lbs and push or pull up to 5lbs.
