Job Description

Role: Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: San Jose,CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months

Additional Notes: Work hours: Monday - Friday, usually starts 9am PDT Onsite requirement: Tuesday and Thursday Interview plan: One with hiring manager and one with a cross-functional team member This role is for a covered leave and strictly contract. This role can range from 30 - 40 hours per week (no guarantee).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Sr. Revenue Accountant will play a key role to assist in the operational revenue accounting.  This is a high visibility role within the revenue accounting function and the individual will be a key contributor in our continued growth.

List of Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end revenue close, including reconciliations and related fluctuation analysis and other reporting requirements
•   Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over revenue transactions and reporting.
•  Help prepare data and other support information requests as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external auditors
•  Work with cross-functional teams in various departments to operationalize new product offerings
• Perform user acceptance testing for key reports and identify any inconsistencies with underlying data
•  Assist in operationalizing new product offerings

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and CPA (a plus)
• Experience in a public company environment
• Knowledge and hands on experience working with GAAP revenue recognition accounting standards including ASC 606
•  Experience with NetSuite (a plus)
• Demonstrated success with process improvement initiatives
•  Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively work cross-functionall
