About the role

Indiana University Health Foundation seeks a skilled learner for a graduate assistantship during the summer of 2024 and 2024-2025 school year. 

Indiana University Health Foundation represents the fundraising efforts for 16 Indiana University Health hospitals across Indiana. Philanthropy is a priority for our healthcare system. Primary Responsibilities: 

The IU Health Foundation graduate assistant/intern will work with our foundation team to create a central file library and data organization system that will set our team up for success for years to come. This student person would be responsible for meeting with team members to identify the needs and desires of the team in respect to file organization needs, create a plan based on that feedback, and work with the team and other system stakeholders to execute the plan over the period of their time with us. 

  • Areas of opportunity within this project: 
  • Create a uniformed file storage process for the IUHF team (Alignment in what belongs on Sharepoint vs Teams vs OneDrive)
  • Identify and enforce a widescale file naming structure 
  • Full revamp of Philanthropy Library
  • Organize digitized files from Methodist Health Foundation, Ball Memorial Health Foundation and IU Health Foundation while working with operations team members to ensure proper database documentation as well as file library storage
  • Educate IUHF team members on the importance of proper file storage

 

Qualifications:

  • Driven, highly-motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic, ability to be flexible and receptive to feedback for professional growth. 
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills, necessary for success in individual projects and in working with colleagues on-/off-site
  • Interest in working as a part of a team, but ability to work in a highly-independent environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong copy, grammar and proofing skills
  • Comfort with using Microsoft and Blackbaud products
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize
  • Access to own transportation and ability to travel to hospital sites 

Time Expectation: 20 hours/week


• Requires current enrollment in an Associate's, Bachelor's, and/or Master's Degree Program.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
