ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Evaluate and test product to verify conformance to requirements per the Quality Plan.
- Place product on physical hold when it does not meet the requirements of the Quality Plan and send communication to impacted personnel.
- Assist production personnel in the determination of root cause and implementation of corrective actions when product is found not to meet requirements.
- Obtain raw material samples from the production and bring them to the lab for testing.
- Perform visual and swab pre-operational verification of sanitation activities and facilitate corrective and preventive action as necessary.
- Communicate with personnel when hygiene practices are not being followed.
- Perform glass and brittle plastic audits.
- Perform and record scale weight verifications.
- Perform oxygen analyzer verifications.
- Enter data into and navigate within various computer systems.
- Fill sanitation and personnel hygiene supplies throughout the production areas of the facility.
- Report issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to the Director of Quality Assurance or executive leadership team and adhere to the requirements of the FSMS.

SUCCESS FACTOR SNAPSHOT:
First 30 days:
- Develop an intimate understanding of our organization’s mission, culture, team, products, and role expectations.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of the cold processing food safety and food quality plans.
- Develop competency in the following:
- Performing verification activities communicated in the food safety and food quality plans.
- Communicating food safety and food quality verification findings to production personnel and work to correct unacceptable findings.
- Looking up item information in the Enterprise Planning System.
- Placing materials on hold and investing root cause.
- Identifying and communicating practices that do not meet good manufacturing standards.
First 60 days:
- Develop proficiency in the following:
- Performing verification activities communicated in the food safety and food quality plans.
- Communicating food safety and food quality verification findings to production personnel and work to correct unacceptable findings.
- Looking up item information in the Enterprise Planning System.
- Placing materials on hold and investing root cause.
- Identifying and communicating practices that do not meet good manufacturing standards.
First 90 days:
- Become the point person on the production floor regarding quality and food safety questions.
- Identify opportunities and facilitate efforts for improvements in the areas of food safety and quality.
Ongoing:
- Work collaboratively with production personnel and the QA Lead to make decisions that are best for the organization.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of food safety and quality and facilitate the implementation of those efforts (take from "first 90 days").
- Be a strong advocate for food safety and product quality.
