Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Storekeeper I for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to process general storehouse receiving and distribution, and maintains storage and inventory of the clothing store and print shop and United Parcel Service deliveries. Provides relief assistance in other stores. Prepares items for shipment to other points, checks quantity and quality of items in storehouse, maintains inventory and other records of stock received and issued. Ensures compliance with applicable Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Shapiro policies and regulations.
Essential Functions
- Processes general storehouse receiving and distribution and maintains storage and inventory of the clothing store and print shop and United Parcel Services deliveries.
- Fills orders based on requisitions and ensures that paperwork is completed.
- Prepares items for shipment to other points, checks quantity and quality of items in storehouse, maintains inventory and other records of stock received and issued.
- Assists other areas in proper receiving, storing and shipping of merchandise.
- Monitors inventory levels and compares with records.
