Role Overview:

 

This position is for a Mechanical Engineer to provide design and support for the Otis Gen3 product. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating design opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments. 

 

On a Typical Day You Will:

• Create sheet metal designs

• Design for installation/manufacturing

• Implement and test a wide range of elevator components

• The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience in change management and working in a cross functional team environment.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

Basic Qualifications:
 

• ​BS Degree in mechanical engineering degree with 3+ years’ experience 

• MA/MS degree with 1 to 3+ years’ experience

• Strong communications and leadership ability  

• Experience with Microsoft office, particularly with Project and Excel. 

• Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)  

• Sheet metal design 

Preferred Skills:

• Creo/Pro Engineer 

• Hands-on testing experience  

• Elevator field experience preferred but not required 

• Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required
