How can you make a difference?
UNICEF’s Global Shared Services Centre in Budapest is recruiting highly dedicated individuals for providing transactional and administrative support to the post contracting cycle of individual consultants which includes, processing contract amendment requests, monitor, and follow-up on expired contracts for closure, and contract closure process.
Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:
Under the supervision of the Contracts Officer (ICS), the Contracts Assistant, GS5 will provide transactional and administrative support related to the post contracting cycle of individual consultants. The role involves active engagement with contracting managers in offices, not only to process transactions but also to provide guidance on procedures and compliance. Key responsibilities include processing contract amendment requests, monitoring, and following up on expired contracts for closure, and contract closure process. All activities are carried out in accordance with Division of People and Culture (DPC) Individual Consultant Procedures and guidance, ensuring timely, accurate delivery aligned with GSSC service level agreements (SLAs).

Specific work conditions: The role may require shift work at different times during the day, from Sunday through Friday. Night differential applies where applicable. When working on Sunday, it may be considered a regular workday and Friday as one of the weekend day. Official holidays will be compensated with CTO. Flexible arrangements apply, including the possibility of partial remote work depending on shift schedules.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) is a minimum requirement, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in administration, procurement, human resources, finance or related to the work of the organization is required.
- Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in administration, human resources or finance is required, preferably with the UN or other international organization. A completed BA degree from an accredited institution qualifies as 3 years' experience and will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirement.
