Senior DevOps Engineer
Mitiga SolutionsAbout the role
We're on the lookout for an amazing Sr. DevOps professional who can work their magic in improving collaboration between software development and IT operations and 5 years of experience to back it up. If you're a whiz when it comes to overall infrastructure and love taking on challenges, then we want you!
Your impact
Delivering solutions in a cloud environment: you'll be developing and integrating systems, applications, and application components to support product development. You'll take requirements and specifications and turn them into the building blocks for seamless and amazing products. Collaboration is key, so you'll be coding in cooperation with other talented team members, performing bug verification and testing. When it's time for plans and releases, you'll ensure proper documentation is updated, earning well-deserved praise from others for your accomplishments.
Bring automations and integrations to life: we love efficiency, so you'll encourage and build automated processes wherever possible. You'll be on the lookout for opportunities to improve efficiencies, allowing the team to focus more on strategic development and drive business value.
Foster an infrastructure-as-code mindset: you'll oversee application and infrastructure planning, testing, and development. We believe in shared accountability, so you'll spread the responsibility for application development, testing, and release across the entire tech team. This guarantees service scalability and reliability, which is crucial for our success.
Be the custodian of maintaining CI/CD pipelines: you'll contribute to the selection and deployment of appropriate CI/CD tools, always striving for continuous improvement. Building a solid continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline) will be your focus. You'll constantly seek ways to improve the pipeline, from people to processes. And let's not forget, you'll also implement GitOps throughout our company.
Who are you gonna call? You'll be part of a fantastic team responsible for deploying monitoring solutions. We'll work together to expose blind spots in applications and infrastructure and figure out how to monitor those services effectively. And when incidents arise in development, you'll be there to respond promptly. You'll also proactively deepen the reliability of the services we deploy, ensuring our users have the best experience possible.
Requirements
You've acquired your super skills through a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. You're a pro at administering Linux operating systems and have precise troubleshooting skills. Let's not forget your impressive experience with version control using Git. On top of that, you bring cloud experience with fluency in Microsoft Azure and have a proven track record in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container expertise with Kubernetes.
Python and Bash scripting languages, including code quality and unit testing, are second nature to you. And yes, you also speak English! You excel in building pipelines using Jenkins and automated testing. Plus, you have in-depth knowledge of observability in Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, and Logging systems.
But it doesn't stop there. You have a genuine passion for system architecture design, including high availability systems and microservices architecture (HTTP servers & REST). You've even dabbled with queue systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
When it comes to designing, developing, and managing large real-time systems, you're an absolute expert. And let's not forget your excellent HPC knowledge.
Your love for learning drives you to embrace new and challenging areas. You're a team player who thrives on collaborating and building cool stuff together with your teammates. The fast-paced, results-oriented culture of a startup excites you, and you're no stranger to agile methodologies (hello, Jira). You share our mission goals and always strive to deliver top-notch solutions of the highest quality and on time.
If you're ready to bring your skills and attitude to our team, we'd love to hear from you!
