Senior Financial Analyst – Animal Health Biopharm

Job Description

This role is part of the Cost of Sales & Inventory (COSI) matrix organization which performs end-to-end supply chain financial activities, from procurement and manufacturing phase to final delivery of the product to our customers. The position is within the Animal Health Biopharm team and you will be responsible for controlling product cost, liaising with global finance teams and report on the balance sheet and P&L of your assigned entities. You will participate in improvement projects, be a business partner to your stakeholders and support management analysis. Summary of tasks:

• Controlling and reporting on inventory and product cost related activities;

• Maintaining standard costs in line with GAAP;

• Participating in annual budget cycles for your assigned sites/markets;

• Providing quality support to global stakeholders;

• Be a mentor/coach to more junior financial analysts;

Main responsibilities

• Owning the fiscal month-end cycle for your entities relating to inventory, production costs and other financial reporting activities;

• Liaising with supply chain management, procurement and commercial functions to ensure that product costs are set appropriately enabling accurate long term planning;

• Partnering with manufacturing site controllers and commercial entity leads to deliver accurate annual cost and productivity budgets, and inventory revaluation estimates;

• Providing valuable and timely support to business partners, addressing local/functional stakeholder questions on financial results or accounting guidance;

• Leading internal improvement projects around systems and reporting practices;

• Meeting SOX & internal control requirements, ensuring diligent accounting and reporting;

• Openly sharing experience with peers in an effort to broaden knowledge and increase efficiency;

• Mentoring E2E analysts and facilitate thorough understanding of financial and business processes;

Candidate Profile

• Fluency in verbal and written English is a must (proficiency in other languages is a plus);

• Holds a BSc or MSc degree in finance, accounting or business-related fields (professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CMA are a plus);

• Has 3-5 years of experience preferably in controlling, accounting, financial planning or consolidation functions (experience in cost accounting is a plus);

• Has experience in working with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP, BW AFO and Power BI (experience with SQL, data analytics or other programming language is a plus);

• Has strong stakeholder management skills and is able to simplify complex concepts;

• Has a natural drive to seek improvement and challenge the status quo;

• Has good project management skills;

• Coaching younger analysts comes naturally;
