Community Outreach Associate

Responsible for providing logistical and operational support for community education and outreach programs, events, and activities. Represents St. Joseph before a wide range of community, corporate, and professional constituencies. Works closely with the Manager(s) of Community Outreach and other departments to plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate special events, programs, and other educational events, and post-event wrap-up.
Highly perceptive of the physical environment and social and cultural awareness of the different communities. Are responsible for traveling, distributing information, connecting with local communities regularly while maintaining the health and safety of self and others.
Manage and maintain databases of all outreach activities, reports.
Required to work weekends and evenings when needed.
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, post-secondary Community Health Worker, or related field plus one year of experience in a related field. Proficiency in MS Office required: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent speaking, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects or events simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of hospital, professional, corporate, and community constituencies.
