Located in Las Vegas or New York office, the Technical Compliance Specialist will be a hands-on resource to our clients, acting as a compliance risk liaison between GeoComply and its customers who rely on our technology to meet the legal, regulatory, and compliance needs of their business.
This role will ensure the Product Compliance Team properly monitors and manages compliance risks, particularly in regulated markets where stringent compliance requirements must be upheld. This work will entail both client-facing interactions, as well as an internal analysis of regulations, technical standards, and industry research on related topics.

This role will ensure the Product Compliance Team properly monitors and manages compliance risks, particularly in regulated markets where stringent compliance requirements must be upheld. This work will entail both client-facing interactions, as well as an internal analysis of regulations, technical standards, and industry research on related topics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Release Team on all regulatory submissions and release note processes.
- Maintain a database for centralized recording of all submissions and technical requirements.
- Enforce and maintain compliance while enabling GeoComply products to maintain competitive and differentiate value
- Monitor product development cycles and prepare technical documentation and product approval strategies
- Understand GeoComply products at a detailed level and identify risk and opportunities in context of the technical standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct / Coordinate compliance audits regarding client setup and configuration.
- Collaborate with Integration and Testing Team testing team to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Research, author and edit technical standards to enable state-of-the-art compliance standards in the areas of geolocation and identify authentication in collaboration with internal and external customers, regulators, and advisors.
- Draft Technical standards for presentation to Regulatory bodies and clients for adoption as best practice and/or regulation adoption.
- Interpret and communicate regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist Product Compliance Auditors with technical compliance audits.
- Recommend changes to procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards.
- Respond to regulator requests and provide answers and information as needed; assist with regulator engagement by attending meetings, taking notes and maintaining internal records.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients’ compliance teams using robust data as a communication tool.
- Investigate compliance issues and use data to make compliance determinations and recommendations to the Sr Director..
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as Account Management, Compliance Fraud Analytics, Customer Success, and others) to ensure clients are addressing compliance risk from all angles (E.g. player communications, UX, etc.)
- Ensure risks and/or issues escalated by GeoComply teams are actioned appropriately by the Product Compliance Team; that internal processes are built to ensure continual updates and improvements to GeoComply’s products, supported by data reporting.
- Assist in researching new markets, and manage internal databases/dashboards of laws and regulations.
- Develop GeoComply product knowledge and expertise in relation to product compliance in order to identify internal risk vulnerabilities.
- Create dashboards to track Product Compliance Team progress on OKRs.
- Provide input for a bi-anual Product Compliance newsletter for internal GeoComply consumption, regarding product compliance issues.
- Assist in managing the Product Compliance Team Confluence page.
- Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, guidance, and best practices and assess impact to company activities.
- Manage projects as needed, to include participating in drafting Product Compliance Team OKR’s.
- Attend meetings as required, taking notes and preparing follow up tasks after each
