Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist I performs HR transactional and processing functions within the Payroll and HR Shared Business Organization (SBO). This position ensures accurate employee record maintenance, onboarding processes, and employment verifications while providing exceptional customer support. The role requires strict adherence to confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and values.
Essential Functions
- Accurately maintains employee records, including onboarding data, employment adjustments, and exit information, for multi-location entities.
- Manages daily case management, emails, and audit reports to execute transactional updates such as profile updates, global transfers, pay adjustments, and legal employer changes.
- Executes data processing within HCM systems with high precision and attention to detail.
- Prepares for future organizational growth by handling primary sourcing of credentials and related data entry as credentialing responsibilities expand.
- Processes HR transactions such as employment verifications and ensures prompt, courteous, and accurate customer support with high written communication standards in resolving related inquiries.
- Analyzes and resolves issues within the scope of job responsibilities, escalating complex problems to team leads, supervisors, or managers as needed.
- Adheres to SBO policies regarding the communication of employee information and maintains strict confidentiality in all HR and payroll matters.
- Participates in training programs and bi-weekly project huddles to enhance knowledge of HR processes, systems, and tools.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements proactive, solution-oriented process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in HR transactional processing, payroll, or a shared services environment required
- Experience supporting multi-state, multi-facility, or large-scale organization environments preferred.
- Experience with Oracle preferred

- Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and professional written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict data protection
