The Role:

The Registered Nurse in the Specialist Palliative Care Service (South), community team:

• Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

The Team:

The Specialist Palliative Care Service (South) (SPCS) is a dynamic multidisciplinary team that provides clinical leadership and evidence-based specialist advice in palliative care. As a community consult service, the SPCS works with primary and secondary health care providers in the delivery of excellence to achieve optimal comfort, quality of life and end of life care for people with complex palliative care needs.  

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Allowance

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

• Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum

• Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

• Current Driver’s Licence
