Head of Finance

We are looking for a highly motivated and engaged Head of Finance to join the Yes team. This person will be responsible for all FP&A and strategic financial decision making, as well as overseeing all core accountancy and bookkeeping functions, including closing monthly accounts and preparing all quarterly financial statements for board meetings. We are looking for someone who can analyze budgets and forecasts in order to implement cost controls and be a key advisor on strategic and operational decisions.

What You'll Do

• Manage and oversee the financial health of the business, including financial reporting (budgeting, forecasting and month end close), P/L and cost center management, and procurement/vendor management.
• Play a key FP&A role, developing budgets to support and provide key analysis on major business decisions.
• Partner regularly with operations and management to develop scalable controls and processes around inventory, production, and logistics.
• Implement financial controls and lead cost reduction initiatives across the company.
• Interface with external auditors, tax preparers, third party ERP vendors, and other financial / accounting advisors.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, including the development of close procedures that ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial results.
• Establish and maintain the company accounting principles, policies, practices, procedures, and financial control systems in accordance with all regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
• Lead, scale, and partner with a growing team responsible for all accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements

What You’ll Need·

• At least 6 years of working experience, with a preference for someone with experience at a scaling start-up.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA is preferred.
• Experience with FP&A, banking or accounting is preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP and SaaS recognition protocols.
• Experience working with, analyzing, and presenting data is required.
• Ability to communicate with non-accounting and finance professionals clearly and concisely.
• Must have strong Excel skills and the ability to pick up on additional platforms/software quickly.
• Proven ability to drive business results by empowering people and collaborating.
• Must be a self-starter prepared to roll up your sleeves to take on any number of tasks required by a fast-growing company.
• Must be located in the United States, with a preference for those located in the Northeast.

This is a full-time, remote role.

Salary Range: $130,000-$180,000 plus a non-discretionary bonus
