What you will do
- Operate and maintain snow removal equipment
- Coordinate and direct contractors to complete snow removal operations outside the capabilities of EDPR owned equipment
- Assist in locating, identifying, and removing invasive species along rights of way
- Assist in maintaining wetland mitigation site
- Assist in maintenance of the Wind Power Plant
- Mowing and trimming as required
- Fence and Gate Repairs
- Road, Crane Pad and Culvert Maintenance
- Field Repair and Planting as Required
- Monthly Site Inspections an exterior Turbine Inspections
- Set and retrieve marking flags
- Routine Equipment Maintenance (tractors, track vehicles, trucks, challenger, mower decks and trimmers)
- Additional duties as required
Role Overview:
Exciting entry-level position, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is an essential member of the Wind Farm that is responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and upkeep at one of EDPR NAβs wind-energy generation sites. Tasks include but are not limited to performing maintenance on equipment, grounds keeping upkeep, and documentation that is necessary to support wind turbine maintenance safely.Β This team member will also conduct inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with EDPR policies, governmental safety guidelines, and environmental regulations. What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred
- 1 β 2 years relevant experience in wind energy or a related industry (preferred)
- Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
- Ability and willingness to work overtime on holidays and weekends and to work on short notice as needed due to on-call scheduling
- Ability and willingness to respond to site emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as needed
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products.Β (Preferred)
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred). <
