Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is seeking for an Electrical Test Engineer for its Crystal Springs, MS Location.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information. 

• Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports. 

• Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate. 

• Plan, conduct or coordinate relatively straight-forward engineering analyses and tests, and prepare related reports and summaries, for review. 

• Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences. 

• Complexity of Tasks: Duties require thorough understanding of standard engineering theories, concepts, principles and techniques. Work is subject to general overview to ensure quality.

Your Background

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical or Electronics engineering and 2 to 5 years of experience.

• Additional Job Description

• Knowledge of industry standards - IEEE, IEC, NEMA

• Experience working with Microsoft Office and compiling technical reports.

•  Initiative, creativity, and great attention to detail.

• Create test plans giving support to the Engineer and Test Team.

• Receive and compile transformer electrical test data into a report template.

• Support basic transformer testing such as winding resistance, turns ratio, excitation, power factor, Losses.

• Archive test reports and test data to managing software  and Server.

• Provide technical support to technicians.

• Transformers and High Voltage background is a plus.

• Be able to perform Tests Low Power, High Power, and High Voltage.

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
