Who We’re Looking For

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Cloud Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated person to fill a role as a Cloud Engineer, Lead

The primary responsibility of this role is to be the principal expert for the cloud engineering team to provide oversight for day-to-day engineering activities and maintain Toyota’s cloud standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Be the golden standard for our cloud engineers. This position is key as this position is the most senior engineer on the team.
• Design, implement, and maintain a modern, automated cloud environment that enables new services and technologies.
• Establish technical standards for development and operations. This includes coding standards, CICD best practices, and software engineering R&D.
• POC new technologies and bring in new ideas from the industry.
• Provide thought leadership in the areas of DevOps, software engineering, cloud automation, IaC, cloud operations, and talent management.
• Contribute to the development of a streamlined cloud engineering team and practice. This includes recruiting efforts, mentorship, and promoting Agile best practices. 
• Professional documentation of design and best practices. ADRs, repo documentation, confluence, etc

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of senior DevOps engineer experience
• Excellent Terraform, CDK, OpenTofu, IaC.
• Python, Bash scripting, ansible, helm, make, automation skills
• Strong AWS/Cloud knowledge
• Network, EKS/ECS, WAF, Lambda, API-GW, IAM experience
• Strong technical implementation experience with security standards, infra (DR,HA) standards, reliability engineering

Nice to Have

• CDK – Python/Typescript experience
• AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCP, Config, experience
• Java, Go, JS, or any FE/BE software experience
• AWS/Cloud certifications
