About the Summer Internship Program
The Summer Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students and beginning professionals with practical experience in a specific area of museum work at The Museum of Modern Art. Each Tuesday, interns participate in professional development activities designed to increase understanding of the Museum’s various collections, exhibitions, and departments. The Museum hosts approximately 25 interns per season in just about every department. Participants may arrange for academic credit through their school, but it is not a requirement.
MoMA Summer 2024 internships require a commitment of five days per week. The schedule for the five days is 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. One must have a minimum of two years of college completed (or equivalent) by June 2024 in order to apply.

Department Projects & Tasks
The intern will support press preview working on lookbook, copy review, and cross checking data to support the Fall/Holiday press preview and lookbook. They will support event planning and set up for press preview or other events. They will assist with product loans for the press. They will support gathering assets and materials for various marketing initiatives including signage, cross-museum, social media, and partner marketing. Other duties may include reporting, event support, or other marketing related duties.
Department Requirements
PC or Mac proficient with experience in Google suite. Studying marketing, communications or similar topics. Fluent in English. Familiar with social media tools including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Microsoft Office, ecommerce (shopify), analytics and technology experience are a plus.
