Job Description
- Manage supplier qualification and on boarding through supplier risk assessment and follow on supplier risk mitigation activities including regular notifications to suppliers regarding their performance.
- Maintain the enterprise level Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Identify and propose new suppliers when ASL gaps are identified.
- Lead category management teams in identification of critical suppliers, preferred suppliers and elimination of excess suppliers.
- Serves as a technical specialist or subject matter expert for the organization in one or more assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manage enterprise metrics associated with Supplier Performance and drive category KPIs to enable performance to be monitored, highlighting any potential trends and issues and taking appropriate action in terms of Supplier Development.
- Ensure supplier cybersecurity assessments are completed and makes recommendations to ensure supplier is capable of meeting all NIST 800 requirements of an information security management system.
- Maintain and evolve supplier relationships with preferred and critical suppliers.
- Lead preferred and critical supplier business reviews.
- Provide support as needed for various Business Intelligence initiatives.

Qualifications
Education:
- Master's Degree Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Specific Degree Field, only if required: Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent technical degree. Preferred Degree - Mechanical Engineer.
Experience Required in Years:
- Functional (Using Skill Set) - 10+ years
- Management - 10+ years
- Industry- 10+ years
List any unique working conditions or physical demands in this job:
- Proven experience in leading teams and working with Suppliers and internal customers on technical problem solving in multiple technology areas
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Category Management Practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality management methodologies such as:
- Quality Management Systems per ISO-9001/AS-9100
- Control Plans
- Ability to travel up to 30% - U.S. Passport
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication (Technical Writing experience a plus)
- Problem solving, analytical, and process improvement skills / experience
- Knowledge of:
- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800 series standards
- J-STD 001, IPC-600, IPC-610, IPC-620
- Electronic Assembly manufacturing to include Printed Circuit Boards, Cables, and Harness manufacturing
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
