Description
The Psychology Program at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks innovative and enthusiastic applicants for this tenure-track position. A PhD in Clinical Psychology or closely related applied field is required An ABD PhD with a successful dissertation defense by May 31, 2027 will also be considered. Responsibilities include teaching 18 credits per academic year (typically 3 courses each across 2 semesters), leading an active and productive research lab with undergraduate students, mentoring students, and engaging in service supporting the department, college, university, and profession. The successful candidate will also be able to contribute to a master's program in clinical psychology (pending program approval) and must be willing to teach across modes; both in person and online, and in 7 and 14 week course formats. Experience in advocating for and working collaboratively with a variety of individuals and constituencies.

Required Qualifications
- The position requires a PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related applied field of Psychology. An ABD PhD with a successful dissertation defense by May 31, 2027 will also be considered
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level, preferably, in multiple modalities (in person, online)
- A coherent program of research that lends itself to student involvement and the possibility of external funding, as evidenced by research productivity
- Ability to teach a combination of courses across the curriculum (introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels) in the research sequence, core curriculum, and in their specific area of expertise, and be able to contribute meaningfully to a Masters in Clinical Psychology Program (pending program approval).
- Willingness to teach in person on the Flint campus and online via distance education
- Engage in constructive service at the department, university and professional levels
- Experience in advocating for and working collaboratively with a variety of individuals and constituencies
Desired Qualification
- Candidates who are licensed to practice clinical psychology (TLLP, LLP, LP) in the state of Michigan or the potential to be licensed to practice clinical psychology in the state of Michigan
