Introduction
The Manager, Post-Production & Archives is responsible for overseeing all post-production workflows, managing editorial and finishing schedules, and ensuring the long-term organization and preservation of all media assets. This role is central to maintaining a streamlined post-production pipeline and robust archive system that supports both current and future content needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the scheduling and delegation of all retouching tasks to ensure timely delivery.
- Applies a strong command of retouching techniques to expertly quality control all imagery.
- Provides oversight of all print production processes to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with creative operations, editors, and other stakeholders to develop post schedules and meet deadlines.
- Manage external vendors and post houses, ensuring deliverables align with creative vision and technical standards.
- Implement and maintain best practices in file naming conventions, media storage, and version control.
- Troubleshoot post-production issues and implement technical solutions as needed.
- Ensure proper metadata tagging and cataloging of all assets for easy search, retrieval, and reuse.
- Work with IT and developers to ensure data integrity and implement backup strategies.
- Oversees the maintenance and organization of image and video assets.
Qualifications
- 5+ years post-production experience with 2-3 years in supervisory/management roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for image archiving, asset organization, and building and maintaining centralized image libraries.
- Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems experience with metadata standards and cataloging.
- Print production workflow knowledge including color management and brand consistency.
- Project management skills with ability to handle multiple deadlines and coordinate teams.
- Vendor management experience including external post houses and creative services.
- Technical troubleshooting abilities for post-production issues and workflow optimization.
- File management expertise in naming conventions, version control, and storage systems.
- Strong quality control background with expert-level retouching and finishing skills.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience working with creative, IT, and cross functional teams.
