We're currently seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Dublin-based Retention Engineering team. We're looking for a leader who exhibits relentless curiosity, a focus on crafting superior customer experiences, and a talent for nurturing cross-team collaboration. Your role will involve directing a team of 8-10 engineers, shaping our technical trajectory and architecture, and synergizing with teams across Microsoft. We need a scout for brilliant engineering talent, a leader who empathizes, and an inspiring force who propels the team to move quickly and innovatively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a highly productive team of engineers to deliver a set of features with the right overall design and architecture 
• Plan, scope objectives, layout execution and quickly deliver high-quality results  
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to the software engineering teams on architecture, design, development, and live site management. 
• Lead data driven engineering practices for business and operational insights.

Required Qualifications  

 

A proven track record of technical leadership and experience in shipping high quality products or services 
Cross-group collaboration, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills 
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, and work well with other people 
Experience of Java, C#, C++, or equivalent experience 
Strong knowledge of design patterns and good software development practices 
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

Experience with TypeScript, Redux, JavaScript 
Expertise in one or more web application dev frameworks like React, Angular, etc 
Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.) 
Experience with Data Science and ML is a huge plus 
Prior experience building and managing an engineering team 
Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geos
