As a Security Officer - Front Desk in San Rafael, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing a welcoming and secure presence. Your role involves monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting with inquiries, all while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentive presence and excellent communication skills. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the residential location.
• Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering the building to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any security-related incidents.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff to address inquiries, provide information, and assist with security-related concerns.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and Allied Universal management during emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Support a welcoming and secure environment by observing and reporting any suspicious activity or potential security-related hazards at the front desk area.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions, and the license must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Holding a Guard Card or license is preferred for this position.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
