The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development (CSED) at Penn State serves over 60 religious, spiritual, and secular communities and fosters a diverse, multi-faith learning environment that supports the academic, emotional, social, spiritual, and ethical development of students. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the CSED remains welcoming, inclusive, accessible, and functional for a diverse array of religious, spiritual, and ethical programs.

  • Serve as lead contact for internal and external event scheduling, space reservations, and event planning logistics.

  • Consult with event organizers to assess technical, cultural, and spiritual requirements; recommend room setups, A/V needs, and ceremonial accommodations.

  • Oversee event execution, including managing room setups, vendor coordination, signage, and equipment use.

  • Provide real-time support during events to ensure smooth operations and uphold CSED standards for hospitality, respect, and inclusivity.

Facility Operations:

  • Collaborate with the Office of Physical Plant (OPP) and other campus units to address maintenance, custodial, and facility repair needs.

  • Ensure daily readiness of public and sacred spaces, maintaining a clean, orderly, and accessible environment for all users.

  • Conduct regular inspections and manage inventory of furnishings, ceremonial items, and A/V equipment.
