About this role: The Hospitality & Safety Specialist works to ensure the well-being of the organization by providing optimal customer service and working to uphold and support Adult & Child's commitment to diversity and inclusion by actively demonstrating appropriate cultural awareness, respect, and sensitivity to all. The Hospitality & Safety Specialist also works to ensure the safety of the organization by performing threat assessments and performing all assigned duties all while functioning in accordance with Adult & Child Health's Guidelines and within their own professional code of ethics.

The Location and hours: A&C is based in Central Indiana. For this position, we service the following counties: Marion, Johnson. Core working hours for Adult and Child Health are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm M- F.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Contribute to ensure optimal level of customer service and care.
• Responds and intervenes, as necessary to any unsafe acts or processes that may create an unsafe environment for clients’ therapeutic transformation and/or for staff work conditions.
• Continually assesses and positively supports staff, client and visitors’ perception of safety, sense of significance, and feeling of being respected and connected to others.
• Participates as an active member of the treatment team by facilitating initial and ongoing interactions that will insure A&C treatment facilities are a safe haven for therapeutic transformation.
• Greets all promptly, pleasantly, and with courtesy.
• When necessary and appropriate, implements crisis prevention and management techniques with clients through the use of authorized de-escalation techniques and with the purpose of returning the client to a calm, rational state.
• Provides clients and visitors with assistance, direction, and information.
• Manage communication with clients and helps to ensure a safe working environment for all staff, clients and visitors.

Requirements

•  Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Preferred experience with diverse populations across the lifespan and cultural awareness
• Must be customer service-oriented and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Crisis intervention experience is strongly preferred
