Our production operations roles could include multiple positions and may provide support to different departments depending on needs of the plant.
The position of Production Operator may include any production areas to ensure that schedules are followed and met and may include foaming, subassembly, door assembly, transports (if applicable), complete front line and back line, framing, wood operation, sheet metal and final set up.
Reports to the Production Lead of assigned department.
Responsibilities may include:
- Operate sheet metal equipment and perform department functions
- Foaming and cleaning panels
- CDU Operations
- Transport/Specials
- Assembly in Door department
- Final inspection, shipping, and parts orders
- Panel modification
- Machine operation-sheet metal
- Wood shop operation
- Other areas as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
- Must understand & be able to follow ALL safe operating procedures & requirements
- Must possess a cooperative attitude
- Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Must be a team player, but also able to work independently
- Must be able to operate small hand tools safely and accurately read a tape measure
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs on a continual basis
- Ability to use repetitive motions
- Ability to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequently
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to be on time and at work daily, excellent attendance a must
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Shows initiative and motivation to take on new areas of responsibility
- Must be self-sufficient
- High level of accountability
Experience Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to demonstrate the ability to read blueprints preferred
