Data Collection Moderator

LXT is an emerging leader in AI training data to power intelligent technology for global organizations. In partnership with an international network of contributors, LXT collects and annotates data across multiple modalities with the speed, scale and agility required by the enterprise.

We are seeking a Data Collection Moderator with previous experience in data collection who is comfortable with participant interactions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, is comfortable taking physical measurements, and has the ability to effectively guide participants through a user study. This role involves recruiting participants, conducting anthropometric measurements, administering intake questions, and guiding participants through a series of physical tasks while video and sensor data are recorded.

Key responsibilities

• Participant recruitment: Actively recruit and screen participants for the study, ensuring they meet the required criteria.

• Anthropometric measurements: Conduct physical body measurements of participants accurately and professionally.

• Intake process: Administer intake questions to gather necessary participant information prior to the study tasks.

• Instruction and guidance: Provide clear verbal instructions and demonstrations to participants, ensuring they understand the study tasks.

• Task supervision: Supervise participants as they perform a series of physical tasks, including medium intensity body motions and light stretching, ensuring safety and data accuracy.

• Data collection: Ensure that video and sensor data are recorded correctly during the tasks.

• Participant care: Maintain a supportive and professional environment, addressing any participant concerns or discomforts during the study.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact comfortably and effectively with participants.

• Experience with or willingness to manage participant recruitment.

• Ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively.

• Attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection.

• Comfortable with physical tasks, including taking participant measurements, guiding participants through body motions and stretching exercises.

• Professionalism in handling sensitive participant interactions and managing participant confidentiality.

Working Conditions

• On-site position requiring physical presence during study sessions.

• Requires physical activity, including standing for extended periods and assisting participants with tasks.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining participant comfort and safety.
• Must be available five days a week during Monday through Saturday, 8 hours per day from September 2024 to April 2025.
• Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour
• Employment type: Employee position on a fixed-term contract from September 2024 to April 2025.
