You will be an integral part of the Software Engineering team, contributing to the development of new features, and refining existing features within our products while contributing to your professional growth and the success of other associates and the company.

As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will be involved in collaborating with other developers as well as the User Experience, Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to bring designs to life through your ability to build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable computer code.

What you will be doing:
As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will be involved in collaborating with other developers as well as the User Experience, Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to bring designs to life through your ability to build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable computer code.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with designs, builds and maintenance of efficient, reusable and reliable computer code for various software applications including, but not limited to FinScan and Enlighten
- Utilizing various front-end web development technologies such as: Typescript, Javascript, React, HTML and CSS/SCSS or similar
- Learning the company’s methodologies, standards, procedures and set of products at a technical level
- Executing programming support duties such as documentation; comments; unit testing; troubleshooting syntactic, semantic, and logical errors as well as researching solutions to problems, as required
- Contributing ideas, progress reports and personal perspectives, ensuring continuance of highest quality technology offerings
- Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
- Attend project, department and company-wide meetings
- Participate in periodic code reviews
- Collect and retain knowledge about Innovative’s product offerings and capabilities, gaining subject matter expertise in the features being worked on
- Contribute to Innovative’s community and collective success by gaining an understanding of the business problems solved through the product offerings, how they integrate with each other, and apply that knowledge to inform and meet design needs
- Other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or related STEM major
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a professional software development environment whether through internships or professional opportunities.
- Must have experience with at least one or more of the following: Typescript, React, SCSS or similar
- Typescript and/or React course certifications a plus
- OWASP best practices/top 10 certification a plus
- Familiarity with development tools, such as Git including branch management, merging conflict resolutions and creating pull requests
- Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, or similar development environment.
