Job Summary
This position is responsible for the inventory management of distribution supplies. Requires constant monitoring of ordered supplies, verification of receipt, and shelf placement. Monitors consumption rate of supplies and adjust the quantity levels as usage increases and/or decreases. Communicates critical levels with the buyer in order to prevent stock shortages of patient care products. Maintains the database for inventory item locations and provides appropriate labeling information as required.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Orders supplies as needed to avoid storeroom shortages and outage of inventory.
Manages the ordering process, receipt and distribution of medical and general supplies.
Documents and keeps a record of all supplies that enter the inventory control room and forward receipts to accounting for processing.
Compares invoice to product received to maintain accurate inventory.
Oversees the distribution of received supplies to the appropriate storage areas within the inventory control room.
Removes out-dated supplies from inventory and notifies the purchasing department for replacements.
Assists supervisor and ancillary departments with projects requiring inventory availability, usage, and cost.
Performs effective stock rotation as needed.
